Residents of Collingswood and Woodlynne are eligible to receive a free library card. Cards can be renewed for free every two years with current proof of residency. Replacement cards cost $1.
If you are unable to come into the library, you may apply for a digital library card by filling out this form, and we’ll get back to you shortly with a library card number that you can use for online services and materials – including eBooks and audiobooks.
When applying for a library card in-person, please bring a valid photo ID with your Collingswood or Woodlynne address. If your photo ID does not have a Collingswood/Woodlynne address on it, or is not current, you will need to also bring proof of residency.
Acceptable proof of residency: current (no older than 2 months) utility bill, credit card bill, phone bill, tax bill, lease agreement, bank statement, rent receipt, pay stub, or government-issued mail. Digital files are accepted.
For students ages 11-17, a library card can be issued without a parent or guardian signature if they can provide photo identification, such as a school-issued ID and proof of residency. Students can also use their digital student portals for ID.
Non-residents may purchase a one-year Collingswood Library Card for $50. Non-resident students who attend Collingswood schools are eligible for discounted student cards at $35 for the school year (Sept. 1-June 30). Seniors age 65 and over may purchase a discounted yearly membership for $35/year, pending proof of age. Teachers at Collingswood schools, Collingswood clergy, Borough Employees, owners of Collingswood properties, and Collingswood business owners may apply for a free library card with proper documentation. Note: A non-resident card is a membership for one person; the library does not issue “family cards.”
